Shadows and Light

The sun was shining through the leaves and branches outside, and through the wavy old glass on my windowpanes this morning, and making a pretty picture on my wall.  It only lasted about 5 minutes until the sun was on its way moving through the sky and shining into other windows of the house.  I'm glad I captured it!

It looks like you have created a self-answering question. In an earlier post you wondered what kind of artwork to hang on the walls of your staircase. Why pay to hang the work of others, when your photography is so outstanding? A series of your own black-and-whites, sepias, and warm earth-toned photos at 8 x 10 and/or 11 x 14 would create the perfect atmosphere. You have many talents; decorating, music, painting, but you are a Wyeth with a camera! Physician, use thine own skills: hang up your photos and paintings.

Beautiful photo, Sharon! It is wonderful to see you enjoying every angle of your new house! I know the best part is that it is filled with so much love.

Oh, I love shadows and light, too! Years ago, I had birdcage sitting where the sun would cast the cage's shadow on a wall and it was just the loveliest thing! Yours is a beautiful, fleeting moment captured and shared. Thank you, Sharon!
