Hee! How's that for a campaign photo? Kathleen's running for Vice President of the Student Council this year. BRAG ALERT>>>PROCEED WITH CAUTION: She is really blossoming in eighth grade--trying out for drama club (they're doing Mulan, and it looks like she might be a real contender!), being selected for the all county band (only 3 eighth graders got chosen...the rest are in high school), running for VP of student council, and going to football games and getting involved in more student/social stuff. She seems really happy, which of course makes Momma happy! And of course so far so good on the grades! She's a serious student (unlike her mother.....I was such a slacker....I have to laugh when I compare).
Tonight was parents night at the school, and for once, I'm impressed with all of her teachers! They actually sound smart and serious and dedicated (aside from the new phys. ed. guy, who was just a joke....SO young, and SO full of himself....I was smirking during his whole schpiel...no WONder he's rubbing Kathleen the wrong way!--figuratively speaking, of course...ugh...lol).
Sorry this was all about Tat, but I can't help it! I'm proud! :)

You deserve to brag, Sharona. Congrats Tat on a great year!
You deserve to brag, Sharona. Congrats on a great start to your 8th grade year, Tat!
I love hearing about Tat! And as you know, I'm the proud mom of a drama club/student council/band member myself!
Glad we found each other on Facebook!
Congratulations to your sweet girl, Sharon!
Ah, those are such fun years. What does Miss Wonderful play in the band? My darling daughter was a band geek also. Played clarinet until her freshman year in high school when she started the bassoon. She made All-State three years on it! So, I'll join you in the proud band mommy category.
Hey congrats to Tat!! How cool!...
Our girls are the same age!! Doin' many same things...mine running for Prez.sudent council, In Orchestra (violin) and in an equestrian club that is becoming the college equestrian team. They really can blossom at this age!! I love watching it! The boys were so into sports and bands...and computers. Fun to see this other direction!!
Thats a great campaign poster for Kathleen. I love hearing proud mamas talk about their kids. It sounds like you have lots to be proud of here. Congratulations to Kathleen!
Gosh, that kid o' yours is beautiful! Great to hear about her blossoming and all that she's achieving. You have every reason to be proud of her! I was much like her in school: band, drill team, student council, a bunch of clubs, honor society - I loved high school! Good luck to Kathleen with the election. Be sure to let us know how it turns out.
Gramma Pat said congrats!!
