Hudson-Athens Lighthouse

You would think that after an almost three week hiatus from blogging, that I'd have some really great stuff to share with you, wouldn't ya'? Sorry to disappoint. I feel like I've been running around like a chicken without a head lately, and then when I DO sit down to the computer, I don't feel like blogging! I just play around on Facebook instead!

I still can't get over how great it is to be chatting with old high school buddies after all these years. (And yes, it's been a LOT of years, people!) The other great thing about Facebook is that I've got friends from every corner of my life on there....high school, college, family, neighborhood friends, internet decorating friends, internet dating friends from back in my Match days (I know! It's silly!), and even some friends of friends whom I've met through that glorious thing we call social networking. If you haven't gotten your arse over there yet, do it. But only do it if you WANT to be in touch with all of those people in your life. :)

I have, however, been playing around in Photoshop as well, and ended up with this gorgeous shot of the Hudson-Athens lighthouse. This is the same lighthouse I had shared with you a while ago from the Athens side of the river. This shot was taken from Mt. Merino road over on the Hudson side of the river. Click it to enlarge. I used some texture and other enhancements to get the brick to show up nicely:
Also, while I was missing in action, there was a full moon! I love the full moon. It's just incredible. The shadows it cast in my back yard were pretty cool too:

And one morning, at just the right moment, with the door at just the right angle, I discovered this light extravaganza. Every doorknob in my house is made of glass, and I just love them. I've been here for a year and a half, though, and this is the first time I have witnessed this in action:
Way cool, right?!
And as silently as it had arrived, the sun dipped, and the fractals were gone.

In other news, how 'bout that Bachelor, eh?
That Jake is one hunk-0-hot man, who says and does all of the right things, and I can't wait to see who he picks! BF pretends to hate the show, while watching it with a smile on his face,
Kathleen wants Jake and whoever he picks to adopt her (! LOL!) , and I want him to pick ME! LOL!
Peace out, y'all!
