Here are some pics from my trip over to Sturbridge, MA on Saturday. I absolutely LOVE this store (The Seraph.com), and I truly wish there were something like it over here in my neck of the woods in NY. I also can't believe that Laura, the wonderful salesperson, remembered me from my blog post and visit last year! Too funny: "Aren't you the girl from the blog?" Hi Laura, if you're reading this! You were a great help, and you're a wonderful asset to that store.
Grain sacks are the latest rage these days, and here they had upholstered the backs of these dining chairs with them. Pretty cool.
I am in complete lust with this settee below. In fact, I'm tempted to use that shape to make a headboard for my headboard-less bed. I need to do SOMEthing, SOON, because I am getting really sick and tired of pulling my pillows back out of the crack at the head of the bed every morning. Argh.
I'm a sucker for any piece of furniture with a lot of drawers, too. Perhaps I was a pharmacist in a past life? ;)
LOVE this double desk, AND the awesome stenciled bamboo rug:
Cute!
More pics tomorrow!

I can so see you making a fabulous headboard using that shape. Do it!
I giggled when I saw the pig. Wouldn't that be a perfect accessory in my Iowa home?
What a great store!
Well Yum! I looked at some grain sacks for a chair I'm doing.
Lovely store! I dunno...you should consider it a personal economic stimulus that the store is not near you...If it were near me, I might be penniless!
Pharmacist in a past life - lol! You crack me up! So many of these types of stores are so filled and packed that I don't enjoy them. (Because of my fibromyalgia, I get sensory overload easily and get confused and queasy.) But I could definitely handle this store! Totally love that stenciled bamboo rug! And I love drawers, too; would rather have drawers instead of cabinets for things. Did you pick up anything other than some great ideas to interpret in your own inimitable way?
I love The Seraph, too, and the grain sacks ceratinly are all the rage. I'm wondering if you have been to Hammertown Barn in Pine Plains (or in Rhinebeck or Great Barrington)? It's probably as close as I can think of to a comparable in eastern NY, and not far...lots of great antique/vintage pieces, many from the UK, France, etc., mixed with new items with great style. Perfect for a fall drive!
Gorgeous store and photos. I would truly enjoy visiting this store!
Ooo! Hammertown Barn, you say? I just looked it up, and my friends and I are going to head down there today. Thanks so much for the heads up!
