I decided to join Rhoda over at Southern Hospitality for one of her last Thrifty Treasures celebrations of the season. If you want to see over 100 bloggers and their thrift treasures, then head on over there. It's fun! Here is my find of the month:
It's McCoy, and it's McLovely! I love the tufted diamond pattern, and the laurel leaves down on the saucer...AND I found one in blue too! See it down there on the right?
...and the smaller yellow one with a different pattern on it? They're all the "real McCoy"...lol...and I think I paid $24 for all of them. I bought them a few weeks ago, and I honestly can't remember exactly how much I paid, but it wasn't much. And how do you like my bee-yoooteeeeful glass bird vase? Isn't he handsome? My father and his wife gifted me with him after I hosted the big family shindig in August. I've been keeping him freshly stocked with gorgeous dahlias, which I just can't get enough of. My friend Donna gave me the tubers in June for my birthday. I just plopped 'em in the ground some time in mid-July I think, and they are blooming like crazy.
LOVE.

Hey, Sharon, glad you joined the party today! I love, love McCoy & your 2 planters are gorgeous. Love the birdie too. I know I've missed a bunch of what is going on over here. I'll have to go back & see what you've been up to. I just can't every stay caught up with all the blog reading I'd like to do. Glad you came by!
OOOOoo, Sharon! So I took a look at your kitchen shelves below & how fab are those?! Great job on DIYing that. Did you hang the beadboard too? Love it all, what a cute kitchen.
Hi Sharon...
Ohhh...what fabulous treaure finds! I love your McCoy planters...the pretty yellow planter is just perfect with the autumn season upon us! You know, I have a set of pink glass canisters that have the same tufted diamond design on them...they were my late mother-in-laws so I really didn't know anything about them. I hunted and searched the internet trying to come up with a manufacturer, etc. to no avail. Now I'm wondering if they could be McCoy? I'll have to do more searching! This was so sweet getting to see your pretties...it may have brought a long sought out answer to me!
By the way...your bird vase is beautiful and that flower...gorgeous!!! Thank you for sharing your pretties with us today!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
