I want to know who said pride is a dealdly sin? Because I don't see what's so deadly about thinking your kid is awesome and that when she works hard and practices diligently, that she then gets rewarded for her efforts...one reward being, of course, her mother's pride in her accomplishments. Tell me what's wrong with that, will ya'? :)
They really sounded great! This was eight and ninth graders from I think seven school districts. Kathleen was one of three eighth graders chosen to go from her school. Yay!
Oh well...I just spent a half hour trying to upload a little video so you could hear them, but it wasn't successful. *sigh* I have stuff to do! I'll try again later.

Cool!
You *should* be proud! Absolutely!
Congratulations Kathleen!
I think I can almost hear her!
And glow awy dear mom...It's completely allowed. Really.
That's awesome! I was in All County Chorus - it was so exciting to be chosen and to see boys from other schools! LOL
I don't think a parent's pride is one of the deadly sins, do you? You deserve to be proud!
Yay, Kathleen! I think self-pride, not mom pride, is the deadly sin. No matter - you have much to be proud of in this totally awesome daughter of yours!
Not only is she a fabulously talented clarinetist...her feet are properly placed!
Yep, I used to play French Horn in band and orchestra and proper foot placement is important, too.
Pride in one's child isn't a sin...it's a virtue! Especially when one's child is as talented and good as Kathleen. She's blossoming into a truly magnificent young woman!
Congrats on a lovely daughter who is worth being very proud of!
She's blessed to have you in her life Sharon! And what a lovely girl she is. :)
