This Just In...

Kathleen won the election. Meet the new Vice President of Student Council! She's a happy camper. Their first meeting is Wednesday.

And in other news....
The above is just a sneak peek at a client's home. He has a TON of panels set into oak (in one room) and mahogany (in another) that need to be upholstered with tapestry like the piece above, which is in his dining room. This house is beyond incredible. I couldn't get over it. Look at that plaster ceiling! The whole house is filled with carved wood and gorgeous moldings everywhere. I can't wait to find just the right fabrics and wallpapers for him!!

That's it from me for now. Nothing profound today. I have some sewing to do!

Wow! That's going to be an incredible home to work on, Sharon. I hope you can post after pics, too.

Congrats to Miss Kathleen. Good for her!

Hey, I've tagged you. Come over to Canyon Wren Cottage to get the details.

I cant imagine how you felt walking into that house. It must be magnificent!!! Love the details...it feels like you stepped into the past. I will be looking forward to seeing your finished project.
Congratulations to Kathleen!

Yahoo, Tat, that is awesome!

Sharon, what an incredible house. I hope we get to see more photos of your work there.

We need to talk Dreamweaver again one of these days. And I need to box your vino. I am SUCH the slacker friend. I am so sorry!

Don't be silly, Amber. You truly don't have to send me wine. I mean, I know I'm a wino and everything, but....you ARE more than halfway across the country after all! I don't know how you're going to ship it!

I'll post more pics of parts of this house that I work on, but I feel like I'm violating his privacy or something. Hmmm. I'm not identifying him in any way, or the location, so I suppose it's all good.

Thanks for the tag, Sandra. I'll try to get to that over the weekend, k?

Big fat congrats to the honorable Vice President Kathleen! She'll love it! I was in Student Government in Jr. Hi and High School and had a blast.

Wow - that home is waaaaay busier than my simple brain can process. That's a lot of ornamentation - lol! I know you'll do a beautiful job and he'll be a fan for life.
